I am an out-of-network provider. I generate a monthly superbill for each individual, which may be submitted to insurance companies for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider before you begin treatment to find out whether they will reimburse for out-of-network providers. I do not complete paperwork for insurance companies.
The length of therapy is based upon a number of factors. For example, it can be affected by the type of issue with which the individual struggles, the intensity of the issue, as well as the individual's engagement in therapy. Studies show that when individuals are more engaged in therapy, they make greater gains. In the first 2-4 sessions, I will get to know you and build a therapy plan for you. I will provide a rough estimate of the length of our work together at this time. I typically recommend new clients attend therapy once weekly, with average length in therapy being 4-12 months.
